Native Spirit

Native spirit, I hear your call
I feel your whispers on the breeze
I hear your songs within the trees

I see your smile in the shining sun
I feel your comfort in the light of the moon
I hear your voice in the sweet birdsong
I sense your strength on the eagle’s wing.

Native spirit, I hear your call
I see your reflection in the sky and earth
I know you are showing me all my worth
I felt you with me at my birth.

Native spirit, I hear your call
Your cries of anguish, these I hear
Your cries of pain and the rainforests tears
Your plea’s to man are of no avail
So sing to man’s spirit and good will prevail.

Native spirit, I hear your call
I’ll share with all who’ll care to listen
The wisdom of your whispers
And the melody of your songs
And the wisdom of creation before it is all gone.

Native spirit,
WE hear your call.
