Gods seed

It is in the mind that thought begins, but thought is but a seed that is planted and only if it is nurtured shall it grow.

We plough the fields and scatter the good seed on the land, and it is fed and watered by god’s almighty hand.

We Plough the Fields And Scatter
Matthias Claudius (1740-1815)

We plough the fields and scatter
The good seed on the land,
But it is fed and watered
By God's almighty hand:
He sends the snow in winter,
The warmth to swell the grain,
The breezes and the sunshine,
And soft, refreshing rain.

Refrain:
All good gifts around us
Are sent from heaven above;
Then thank the Lord,
O thank the Lord,
For all his love.

He only is the maker
Of all things near and far;
He paints the wayside flower,
He lights the evening star;
The winds and waves obey him,
By him the birds are fed;
Much more to us, his children,
He gives our daily bread.

We thank thee then, O Father,
For all things bright and good,
The seed time and the harvest,
Our life, our health, our food.
Accept the gifts we offer
For all thy love imparts,
And what thou most desirest,
Our humble, thankful hearts.

Refrain

Everything we do starts first with a seed from God; he then helps us to nurture and cherish it and watches how it grows.  Every man, woman and child is given a packet of seeds with instructions, but dependent upon how you follow the instructions, depends upon how the seed grows.  The instructions can be found inside of us all it is called intuition and dependent upon how we follow this intuition often depends upon the outcome of the growth of the seed.  We were all given free will, which combined with intuition will have an impact on how well the seed grows and even whether it grows at all.

As in any garden where you decide to plant the seed will depend on how it grows, and the decision comes from your free will.  That is why so many people will have different results from the same packet of seeds, and that is why some people have to ‘try again’ and learn from the decisions that they made the previous time to ensure better results and this is where experience grows from.

Most seeds have to start in the dark place and then as they start to germinate they gravitate towards the light, sounds familiar doesn’t it?  Some times people can feel as if they are in a dark place in their lives, but just like the seed gravitates towards the light and firmly roots and then shoots and blossoms, so too can you.

Let this New Year be a year of new beginnings, plant your ideas, nurture them and be patient as they take root, shoot and then blossom.  As the day follows the night and the night follows the day, everything has its natural cycle, without the dark we would not appreciate the light; each has it’s own worth and significance and sometimes you just have to learn to trust that everything is working out in divine order.

Every seed starts with God and from God, the rest is up to you.
As you sow, so shall ye reap
